We believe a thriving community engages a diverse group of passionate people who contribute to its success.​ Lead Butte is focused on building a leadership foundation that values collaboration, trust and inclusion. Lead is a 10-month community leadership program that brings together individuals from across the community to collaborate, grow and make a difference.
Program Overview

10-Month Leadership Program
A 10-month leadership program features a well-rounded curriculum that includes an orientation, a weekend leadership retreat (August 9-11), nine monthly day sessions, and culminates in a graduation celebration. Each monthly day session on the second Thursday of every month. The graduation celebration is scheduled for May 19, 2025. All sessions are held at various cities and sites throughout Butte County.

Monthly Leadership Workshops
Lead engages a dynamic and diverse group of coaches, trainers and facilitators to provide insightful learning experiences around developing a collaborative mindset, skills and practices around building trust and learning how to have effective and intentional conversations, and developing the kind of relationships that are needed to lead well. Each monthly session culminates with developing leadership skills needed to address our community's most pressing challenges.

Cross-Sector Insights and Engagement
Each session is intentionally designed to explore a different sector in Butte County while fostering the development of essential leadership skills. To provide an understanding of the local community's unique challenges and opportunities, these immersive sessions incorporate presentations, in-depth discussions with a diverse group of community leaders across various sectors, participatory skill workshops, group activities, exercises, and tours.
